Moving is rarely just about boxes.

A full-service mover can leave you waiting for a price until the truck is already loaded. Doing it yourself can cost a weekend, a sore back, or worse. And hiring a stranger online gives you no track record to check.

There is a fourth way.

A simpler way to move: you rent the truck, we do the lifting.

1. You rent the truck

U-Haul, Penske, a trailer, PODS, or a storage unit — whatever fits your move and budget.

2. We do the heavy lifting

Our crew loads, unloads, packs, and assembles with care — dolly, lifting straps, and tools included.

3. You keep the savings

Labor-only means no paying for a company truck, fuel markup, or overhead. Just skilled hands.

Is this right for you?

A great fit if you are comfortable renting a truck, or you already have a PODS container or storage unit.

Probably not a fit if you want the truck provided and driven for you — we are labor-only, and we say that up front.

What We Do

Professional moving labor without the big-company price tag. We load, unload, pack, assemble, and haul — you stay in control of the truck and the cost.

Loading & Unloading

Trucks, trailers, PODS & containers, and storage units — loaded tight, stacked smart, and protected for the road.

Packing & Unpacking

Household and office packing done right: wrapped, padded, and labeled by room so unpacking is painless.

Furniture Assembly

Disassembly and reassembly of beds, tables, and more — standard items included during your move.

Haul-Away & Single Items

Old furniture, appliances, and one heavy piece that just needs to go. Flat quotes from photos.

In-Home Furniture Moving & Rearranging

Heavy pieces moved room to room or up and down stairs — or rearranged for new flooring, painting, or a remodel.

Senior Downsizing & Estate Help

Patient packing, sorting, and moving help for folks leaving a longtime home, plus estate cleanouts. We work at your family's pace.

Storage Unit Cleanouts & Organizing

Clear out a unit you're tired of paying for, or let us organize and consolidate it — most units finished in a single visit.

We Publish Our Prices. Most Movers Won't.

No “call for pricing,” no quote-form games, no surprise numbers after the truck is loaded. The hourly rates on this page are the rates you pay — scroll down and see for yourself. That's how we've done it for 18 years.

Add-ons: stairs beyond one flight +$25–$50 • Heavy items (safes, pianos, hot tubs, over 300 lbs) quoted by photo • Same-day / next-day rush +$50 when available • Complex assembly typically +$25–$50 per item, quoted on site.

Typical moves

Typical times are a ballpark, not a promise, based on a 2-mover crew. Hours can vary a lot depending on where the truck is parked, stairs, how prepared you are, whether the truck is larger than needed or has to be packed as tight as possible, and any required assembly/disassembly.

3 bedroomAbout 4 hoursAbout 3 hours
4 bedroomAbout 5 hoursAbout 4 hours

Larger homes are quoted after a few details or photos. At 2 movers ($150/hr), a 1–2 bedroom load and unload together would be about 5 hours, or about $750 in labor before any travel fee.

Questions, answered plainly

Do I need to rent my own truck?

Yes. We are labor-only. You rent the truck, trailer, PODS container, or storage unit, and we do the lifting, loading, unloading, packing, and assembly. That is how the cost stays down — you are not paying for a company truck.

How is time counted?

Time starts when we arrive. Rates are hourly, with a 2-hour minimum, billed in 30-minute increments after that. Zone travel fees are quoted upfront.

What is included, and what do I bring?

We bring a dolly, lifting straps, and tools. You normally provide blankets/pads and shrink wrap, plus your own tie-downs for securing the load. If you need tie-downs from us, a ratchet strap is $15 each and 50-ft rope is about $10. Packing materials are available at cost + 15%.

How do you secure a load?

The final securing of a load is generally done by filling the floor and tiering down. If the truck is full or needs securing, ties are used at several intervals, and especially at the door at several heights, to prevent it from being jammed by shifting items.

What hours do you work?

We work 7 days a week. Quote requests are usually answered within 45 minutes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Some evenings after 5 p.m. we are not available.

How soon will I hear back about a quote?

Usually within 45 minutes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., 7 days a week. If you send a request in the evening, we will get back to you during business hours.

What if a mover is late, or only one arrives?

Call or text us right away so we can fix it. If a mover is late, we will do our best to adjust the time you are billed to match the time actually worked, once the job is past the 2-hour minimum. If only one mover arrives, we will send a replacement as soon as we can. If you would rather go ahead with one mover, we will refund the missing mover's half of the hourly rate, less travel fees.

Do you give receipts?

Yes. Electronic receipts are available by text or email when requested, via Wave.

How do I pay, and what about tips?

Most forms of payment are possible. Zelle is favored. Personal checks are only alright with in-town moves. Manual credit card entry has a 5% fee added on. Tip as much as you wish — it all gets split to the crew who helped you. A typical tip is $40–$80 per worker.

What if I need to cancel?

If you must cancel, please kindly consider tipping the owner for his lost efforts, or do your best to reschedule with us in the future.

What about damage and insurance?

Before move day, check with your bank, credit union, homeowners/renters insurer, or credit card provider about coverage for items in transit. We do not provide moving insurance for direct bookings. Before you drive away, walk through the load with us and tell us about anything damaged during loading. Once you drive away, the load is your responsibility — we cannot control how the truck is driven.

Can you move heavy items, like safes and pianos?

Heavy items over 300 lbs are quoted by photo.

Can you do a same-day move?

Usually, unless we are fully booked. More notice is better. Same-day / next-day rush is +$50 when available.

What should I do before move day?
